I would say that Team Leader Tachyon is essential. It changes the character from great to super-amazing. Tach on her own is awesome, don't get me wrong. Her base power is mostly good for getting the burst count up as rapidly as possible- as well as finding out what comes next in the deck. It works really well with Tach's playstyle and can allow for more flexibility for her.Team leader Tachyon, like Legacy, makes life better for everyone. Including herself. Its easier for her to get cards (so you don't have to use pushing the limits as often), and she helps everyone else get more stuff. Its particularly beneficial to heroes who depend on (or at least really want) specific cards- like AZ, Unity, and Mr Fixer- as well as helping people rebuild after resets and amass lots more options.
to sum up: You get one more HP, everyone loves her even more, and it doesn't hinder her playstyle really at all.
