Fanatic's Embolden is strong with a lot of Heroes. I suspect it's the reason Bring What You Need and Truth Seeker are Limited. Perhaps the most outrageous combo is Embolden + Thermal Shockwave + Isothermic Transducer + Coolant Blast.Omnitron X's Timeshift Power is excellent with cards like Reclaim From the Deep and Vernal Sonata that let people stack their deck. I had a game where Mr. Fixer's Grease Gun was being played on each of Omnitron X's turns. Sadly, the Treacherous Ape proved to be a wily fellow...
Smoke Bombs is great if the Hero on the highest hit points has damage reduction. And few Heroes can get more damage reduction than the Scholar.
