Try it before you buy it. We played at PAXEast and i thought it was okay- but my other gaming partners were not impressed. They felt the play was too linear- the best choice to play was always apparent (the people running it and the other people playing were intimately aquainted with all the cards so they knew every best answer- something that could become true for anyone after a small number of plays). The randomness basically determines whether you will win or lose- regardless of the plays you make. Those were their criticisms. I want to give it another try. As coops go I do see that there are games that work their randomness and choices more elegantly. My major criticism is that you feel like you're playing a game- the bones show and seriously undercut immersion and theme.
Lots of people like it- try it out before you buy it.
