Mad Bomber Baron BladeStart Side: At the end of the villain phase, move the top H - 2 cards of the villain deck to under this card
Flipped Side: At the end of the villain turn, play the top card of the villain deck
Difficulty Increase: Moderate to High
Analysis: As with regular Baron Blade, his start side is drastically ramped up on Advanced which puts the players on a short timer. By Bomber Baron Blade's fourth turn he will likely be dealing double digit damage to every hero, so it is important for the heroes to take him out before that happens. Also like his normal version, his flipped side is much easier to deal with and the extra card play each turn tends not be a game-changer.
Variability factors: Any heroes that take a long time to set up will have a rougher time on Advanced, especially with more players.
Cosmic Omnitron
Start Side: Reduce damage dealt to devices by 1
Flipped Side: Increase damage dealt by devices by 1
Difficulty Increase: Moderate to High
Analysis: The first phase of the fight lasts longer as the DR makes it harder to get rid of Cosmic Omnitron's components. When he eventually does flip Cosmic Omnitron is boosting his own damage and all of his drones' damage, and those drones come out in swarms.
Variability factors: DR-vulnerable heroes will have a tough time during the first phase of the game. Heroes that can attack multiple targets are a must for the second phase to deal with drone swarms.
Ambuscade
Start Side: Reduce damage dealt to villain targets by 1
Flipped Side: Damage dealt by ambuscade is irreducible
Difficulty Increase: Low
Analysis: The main knock on Ambuscade is his durability. With only 50HP is is highly reliant on getting his cloaking device in play at least once to make a game of it. Damage reduction helps him last a bit longer to increase the chances of his cloak coming out, but as Ambuscade flips once it does the cloak itself doesn't benefit from the DR and tends to get knocked out within two rounds. Irreducible damage once he is cloaked isn't that great of an advantage and doesn't last long anyways. Advanced changes Ambuscade from pushover to just fairly easy.
Variability factors: DR is the only trick Advanced Ambuscade brings to the table - heroes that usually only do 1 damage and have no way around the DR are going to have a bad time.
Miss Information
Start Side: Increase damage dealt to hero targets by 1
Flipped Side: Reduce damage dealt to miss information by 2
Difficulty Increase: High
Analysis: Fairly standard Advanced ability on her start side puts the pressure on the heroes, giving them less time to finish Miss Information off when she flips. Heroes need to spend the first half of the game building up big damage combos to be able to reliably puncture through Miss Information's Damage Reduction 2.
Variability factors: Increased damage dealt to hero targets turns damaging environments into brutal ones. Heroes that can't get through DR2 will need to resign themselves to playing support roles.
