I think you're being a little paranoid. I know from playing with friends that "get" Sentinels we get some great plays as a team. We've also had plays where someone shined almost a little TOO much. I've had games where the team was just right, and some where we wonder where certain characters will pick up and actually do something effective.if anything, I know that playing solo makes me appreciate being with a group because sometimes I'll notice one of my other players come up with a way of playing (sometimes because of how the cards are dealt - sometimes because of their mindset) that I may not have noticed a neat card combo or setup, sometimes a simple rule to overlook (like how Unity can use Equipment cards - it never really states whose equipment...which opens up another avenue for getting golems out with a little teamwork, especially when I can't get equipment cards into my hands!) Sometimes even just the number of players makes me want to rethink how certain enemies and team combos work and how to more "effectively" use/play as a team.
in a nutshell - playing in one has made me appreciate playing another way, and vice versa.
